Perkataan another sebagai adjective
Sebagai adjective, perkataan another digunakan seperti another towel, another cup, another route, another day, atau sebagainya.

1. satu lagi: 
   1. I need another towel. Saya memerlukan satu lagi tuala.
   2. Would you like to have another cup of coffee? Mahukah awak secawan kopi lagi?
2. lain: 
   1. Dad took another route to office. Ayah menggunakan jalan lain untuk ke pejabat.
   2. The Sales Executive put the meeting to another day. Eksekutif Jualan telah memindahkan mesyuarat itu ke hari lain.

Perkataan another sebagai pronoun
Sebagai pronoun, perkataan another memberi maksud satu lagi dan ia menggantikan noun:

1. These shoes are too big; I'll try another. Kasut ini terlalu besar; saya akan cuba satu lagi.
2. That cake is delicious; can I have another? Kek itu lazat; boleh saya ambil satu lagi?
